Why Salespeople Make Bad Fundraisers (via@TechCrunch)

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 31, 2011 in General, Social Media |

I was reading this article on TechCrunch and found the points to be rather interesting. The comparison drawn between the two skill sets are crucial for any business operator to comprehend and understand when starting his or her own business. Take a look and leave your comments on your thoughts about it! Why Salespeople Make […]

Today’s Gameplan

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 29, 2011 in General |

So the goal is to try to finish the module I’ve been working on heavily for the last 2 days today. We will see how that goes. I have 3 more pieces to build in to complete the “path” – then I need to build all the ancillary navigators. Since the actual selections are stored […]

Technology doesn’t listen….

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 28, 2011 in Social Media |

So I began a cutover today to set up several cloud servers as backups to my primary hosting environments to ensure my clients have uninterrupted services in the event of an outage. Of course, as the deployment went into effect today, the cloud environment rushed to take over my NS records, throwing most of my […]

So before I got started….I created a Facebook Application

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 28, 2011 in General, Social Media |

I decided to link my blog up to auto-post on to Facebook. It ended up being more entailed than I thought – I actually had to create a Facebook Application – and let me say, the process was far easier than even the problem I was solving last night – I think it took me […]

Late Night Programming Session – Update

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 28, 2011 in General |

OK – so the back ended translation didn’t work. The cart functionality is too deeply rooted on the database to ever work properly without completely re-writing a cart function — and in that case, we’d just redo the entire site. No time for that. I’ve gone to plan B. I’m now writing a function that […]

Late Night Programming Session

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 28, 2011 in General |

So I’m here working on coding a custom wizard for an WordPress powered e-commerce site. The actual wizard itself is rather simple to write, using standard PHP coding. The complicated part comes in when it comes time to integrate with the rest of the e-commerce system. Since this is a Wizard, the potential permutations and […]

Breaking through a brain jam

Posted by Daniel Chartock on December 18, 2011 in General |

So I am sitting here right now contemplating the areas of opportunity to launch and grow BLOC Concierge. I know our mobile apps will be cornerstone – but I am sitting here trying to write a parser for several weeks now to process the server side data in the application – and for some reason […]
